Wyndmont Team Tops Tryon Fall Series

Tryon, N.C. – Oct. 31, 2017 – The Wyndmont Inc. team of trainers Ronnie Beard and Michael Dorman with rider Shawn Casady showcased their elite group of horses during three weeks at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

Valinksi S – 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood Gelding
On Saturday night, Valinski S galloped to a second place finish in the $130,000 Grand Prix CSI 3*. He and rider Shawn Casady were just 3/10ths of a second slower than the leader. The class was part of the Tryon Fall 6 CSI 3*, which hosted the FEI World Equestrian Games™ Tryon 2018 Jumping Test Event.

Zephyr – 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood Gelding
The Wyndmont Team spent three weeks at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and Zephyr kicked off the first week with a win in the 1.40m Open Jumpers. During the third week, Zephyr and Casady went on to place third in the $35,000 1.45m Open Jumper Stake with a double clear round, after placing third in the 1.40m Open Jumper Power and Speed class.

Cas – 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood Gelding
Cas took home the coveted title of “Best Turned Out Horse” during the FEI Jog for the Tryon Fall 6 CSI 3*. During the first week he placed second behind Zephyr in the 1.40m Open Jumpers, and then went one to place second in the speed class as well. His top finishes helped him earn the 1.40m Open Jumper Championship. The next week, Cas was double clear in the 1.40m Open Jumpers for a third place finish.

Favoriet U – 7-year-old Warmblood Gelding
Favoriet U started strong during the Tryon Fall 4 CSI 3*, producing a double clear effort in the 1.35m Open Jumpers and then also clearing the track during the 1.35m Open Jumper speed class. He was double clear the following week during the 1.35m Open Jumper Stake, and closed out the trip by stepping up to the 1.40m Open Jumpers, where he had just one rail in the speed class.

Cecotto De La Ogi – 6-year-old Warmblood Gelding
Consistency was key for Cecotto De La Ogi who was double clear in both of the 1.30m Open Jumper classes during the first week of Tryon. He then went on to be clear in the first class of the 6-Year-Old Jumpers during the second week, where he was also third in the Young Jumper Championship class.

Amai Du Bourgeonet – 7-year-old Selle Francais Gelding
Amai Du Bourgeonet kicked off the first week of Wyndmont’s trip to Tryon with a clear round in the 1.30m Open Jumper speed class to place sixth. He continued to showcase his prowess for the speed classes when he stepped up to the 1.35m Open Jumpers, placing fifth in the timed event.

Playboy Blue VH Z – 7-year-old Warmblood Gelding
During the second week of the Tryon Fall Horse Shows, Playboy Blue VH Z turned in three clear rounds in the 7-Year-Old Jumpers, earning a third place finish in the 7-Year-Old Young Jumper Championship. He then went on to compete in the 1.35m Open Jumpers during the third week. After winning the jump-off class and placing second in the speed class he took home the division’s reserve championship title.
