Victoria Colvin, LLC Celebrates Winning Week at Bluegrass Festival Horse Show

Lexington, Ky. – August 23, 2017 – In only one week at the Kentucky Horse Park, Victoria Colvin earned numerous top placings and honors at the Bluegrass Festival Horse Show, capstoned by her winning ride in the 2017 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship aboard Cuba, owned by John and Stephanie Ingram, LLC. Strong performances throughout the week consistently propelled to her to the top of the leaderboard in both the hunter and jumper rings, with other top finishes in the 2017 Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championship and 1.40m Open Jumpers, among others.

Colvin navigated Cuba to the top honors ahead of some of the nation’s best hunter horses and riders with their two-day score of 584.25 in the 2017 USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship. The pair efficiently tackled the classic and handy courses, earning impressive handy scores of 10, 9 and 9, the highest of the competition.

Colvin and Flint Win Opening Day of Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championship

More than 140 horses and riders competed in the Platinum Performance/USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championship, and Colvin and the Ingram’s Flint led the first day of competition ahead of the entire field. Their score of 272.00 was nine points ahead of the second-best ride from Scott Stewart and Playbook, earning them the greatest payout of the day for the first round.

Blue Ribbon for Colvin and I Love Lucy in 1.40m Open Jumpers 

Colvin and the Ingram’s I Love Lucy rode to the quickest clean time ahead of 35 other competitors in the 1.40m Open Jumpers to earn the top prize Thursday. Colvin and the chestnut mare rode a quick and clean power portion of the course to advance to the speed phase, where they picked up the pace further to finish as the quickest fault-free pair.
