The National Horse Show continues to be praised for its long-standing traditions and rich history, which dates back to 1883 when it was founded and held at the original Madison Square Garden venue in New York City. The renowned event is the culmination of the East Coast summer equestrian season and is known to be where the crème de la crème of hunter, jumper and equitation riders come together from across the nation to vie for top honors, championship titles and the chance to have their names recorded in equestrian history.

As the oldest indoor horse show in America, the National Horse Show is firmly established as a major fixture on national and international sports and social event calendars. In addition, the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame has named the National Horse Show the “Horse Show of the Year” for six consecutive years.

“The 2018 National Horse Show was an astounding success and we saw some of the best that American equestrian sport has to offer,” remarked Jennifer Burger, president of the National Horse Show. “This year, we presented new and exciting classes for our hunter and equitation competitors as well as feature top-notch CSI4*-W jumping competition that brought the best athletes from all over the world to Kentucky. I am thrilled with the outcome of the event and am looking forward to expanding our presence in 2019.”
