Now Three Weeks! Traverse City Spring Horse Show Adds Another Week of Competition in June

Traverse City, Mich. – Feb. 28, 2020 – There is another reason to get excited for the brand new 2020 Traverse City Spring Horse Show (TCS), presented by Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel, because another week has been added to the schedule! Now three back-to-back weeks, the spring series will take place at the picturesque Flintfields Horse Park in Traverse City, providing exhibitors with an even longer opportunity to take advantage of the mild climate and wide host of amenities that the show and surrounding area have to offer. The first week of competition will take place June 3-7, followed by two CSI2* weeks June 11-14 and June 17-21.

The newly added week of competition, the first week from June 3-7, will serve as an ideal complement the two subsequent weeks thanks to its robust roster of classes that will allow competitors to transition seamlessly into the circuit. Rated as “AA” for the hunters and Level 4 for the jumpers, the schedule will include a $30,000 Grand Prix, jumper classics and a $7,500 National Hunter Derby, among the standard gamut of hunter, jumper and equitation contests.

Combined with the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, the full Traverse City circuit now encompasses nine exciting weeks of equestrian action. TCS will take over the majority of June, and GLEF will take place July 3 – Aug. 9, which also includes the
USHJA Zone 5 & 6 Jumper Team/Platinum Championships and the Adequan®/FEI North American Youth Championships. Exhibitors who plan to stay at Flintfields Horse Park after the three-week TCS series in order to compete at GLEF can enjoy a complimentary layover week in on-site stalls. Stall forms are available online here. Stay tuned for the prize list, which will be released shortly.

With such a full schedule for the spring and summer seasons, Traverse City is expected to be an even more popular destination for equestrians and vacationers alike, so be sure to reserve your accommodations as soon as possible. For information about housing and lodging, including hotel partners, home rentals and tourism info, please visit the Traverse City Horse Shows accommodation page here.
