MMM Horseman Celebrates New Partnerships for 2019

Wellington, Fla. – May 30, 2019 – M. Michael Meller of MMM Horseman is a lifelong horseman who has dedicated his career to the pursuit of excellence in the sport of show jumping. This winter, he helped secure new partnerships for three top horses as they aim to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Meller is pleased to announce the sale of Upperfield CH and La Lopez 3 to Grand Cru Eq. Abbie Callaghan will now ride both horses at prestigious venues around the country. Upperfield CH (Arioso Du Theillet x Arrisma) is an 11-year-old Swiss Warmblood mare with grand prix potential. In 2016, Upperfield advanced to the 1.35m Open Jumpers during the Winter Equestrian Festival and consistently competed in 1.35m and 1.40m divisions at the Costa del Sol Equestrian Tour in Mijas, Spain in 2017. Most recently, she jumped clear rounds at the 1.40m and 1.45m height with Bastian Schleider in Germany and across The Netherlands.

La Lopez 3 (Lenardo x Leandra) is a 12-year-old Westphalian mare shown consistently at the international level and has had multiple top ten placings over the summer at The Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, The New Albany Classic, and The Tryon Summer Festival. She is a schoolmaster who is honest and simple.
Meller also sold the talented 9-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare Flairvona (Air Jordan Z x Vivona) to 500 Hats LLC. Flairvona will be ridden by Alison Robitaille and is a grand prix horse with incredible scope that always aims to please. She consistently rider competed in the 1.35m in 2016 in Knokke, Belgium and stepped up to the 1.40m with at the Costa del Sol Equestrian Tour in Mijas, Spain in 2017. She transitioned to Bastian Schleider in 2018, and the duo had produced clear and consistent rounds in Germany and across The Netherlands.

“All three of these horses are very talented,” expressed Meller. “It is an honor to be a part of their career and help them find new owners and riders that can help take them to the next level. My goal is always to find the best partnership for each horse and I feel confident about the futures of Upperfield, La Lopez and Flairvona. I can’t wait to see what is next for each of them!”
The mission of MMM Horseman is to find and produce some of the world’s top young show jumping mounts. His current partnerships and horses include QBS Equestrian mounts Sam 1091, Cheri De Papignies, and Chance STE ridden by Michael Morrissey Jr. of Imperial Show Stables, as well as Carlos, ridden by Denis Sisco. In addition to his North American horses, M. Michael Meller is the owner of Goya, an 8-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare based out of Busch Sporthorses in The Netherlands, and ridden by Pim Mulder.
