“American Equus is very proud to welcome Micah Deligdish to the team,” said David Shano, Founder and CEO of American Equus. “We have a diverse group representing us, and Micah is a natural fit for our program. We are excited to be a part of her journey in international competition and grow together.”
In 2019, Deligdish successfully debuted her 11-year-old Westphalian gelding Santos in CDI small tour competition after developing him up the levels. Ready to take the next step in her career and establish herself as a high-performance competitor, Deligdish kickstarted a new partnership with Devon Kane’s Grand Prix mount Destiny with the long-term goal of representing Israel in top international championships.
With Destiny, Deligdish has accumulated impressive results since their partnership began in late spring 2019 at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival. Since Deligdish’s first time down centerline aboard Destiny in Wellington, they have traveled to the Tryon International Equestrian Center to compete in their first CDI Grand Prix as well as to Canada, racking up numerous ribbons along the way. In their second CDI Grand Prix representing Israel, the new partnership finished fourth in the Ottawa Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix in May, and had great results placing in the top three in the Grand Prix Special at the Caledon Spring Jubilee CDI3* at the beginning of June. Currently training and competing in Germany, Deligdish is focused on performing at her best to qualify for the European Championships held in August.
“I am so excited to be a part of the American Equus team,” Deligdish said. “The Elite stirrups give my seat a technical edge while adding style and personality. Having customizable stirrups for both schooling and the competition ring is a fun way to represent the Israeli flag-it’s all in the details.”
Deligdish will ride in the sleek Chrome English Elite stirrups for a classic competition look, blue engraved English Elite stirrups featuring the Israeli flag to represent her country, and black Elite Slim stirrups with crystals fit for any occasion. Each of the unique American Equus designs lend both exceptional function and eye-catching aesthetics, making them true show stoppers.
When she is not competing abroad, Deligdish is based year-round in the winter equestrian capital of Wellington, Florida, where she operates her training and sales business, Gemini Dressage. A USDF bronze, silver and gold medalist, Deligdish utilizes a personalized sales approach to help horses and riders find their perfect match for a lifetime of success.
Based in Gilbert, Arizona, American Equus produces stirrups and spurs out of lightweight and durable aluminum alloy. Completely customizable, with hand-polished finishes, American Equus products are the perfect mixture of equestrian tradition and 21st century production technology, design and function. The company designs and manufactures equipment suitable for all equestrian disciplines including hunter/jumper, dressage, polo, western and racing. American Equus is also currently the only company to produce stirrups and spurs completely in the United States.
