Wellington, Fla.-June 14, 2017- Lizabeth Olszewski, the founder of Horses Healing Hearts (HHH) has been tapped to be part of an expert panel of professionals during the first annual The Forgotten Mom celebrity golf tournament and treatment industry networking event that will take place Saturday, June 17th at the Wellington National Golf Club. Olszewski is looking forward to sharing her insights on helping children whose family’s struggle with the disease of addiction.
Forgotten Mom is a newly founded non-profit organization that seeks to lend a helping hand to the underserved population of drug dependant mother’s in South Florida. To that end, the 501(c)3 organization is committed to aligning families in crisis with the lifesaving funding, services and support they need, including treatment, aftercare, family support, education, and more. Forgotten Mom’s inaugural event is the first step toward that goal.
From 5pm – 8pm on the evening of the 17th, a panel of professionals will gather to discuss the issues that confront the South Florida community due to the addiction epidemic. The speakers will include political leaders, media executives, as well as treatment professionals. The panelists will take on the challenge of answering hard questions that many do not dare to confront with the goal of education and change.
Olszewski is an expert in her field of equine therapy for children. Through Horses Healing Hearts, she has been able to reach drug-endangered children and encourage them to therapeutically heal with help of horses. Not only does HHH promote confidence through caring for horses, the dedicated staff also teaches children and adolescents valuable life skills and educates them on drug prevention with the goal of stamping out the abuse cycle.
Olszewski has served as a speaker at numerous events such as the National Drug Endangered Children’s Conference and is looking forward to representing HHH’s mission in the community.
