Lexington, KY – October 1, 2020 – The 2020 National Horse Show (NHS) is excited to announce the Hamel Family Foundation as the returning 2020 sponsor of the National Horse Show 3’3” Equitation Championship. Set to return to the Kentucky Horse Park from October 23 to November 1, the 2020 event will feature a variety of highly anticipated championships, bringing elite competition to the Alltech Arena once again for the oldest indoor horse show in America.

“Being able to still have the 3’3″ Equitation Championship is incredibly meaningful this year,” shared Kristen Hamel, of the Hamel Family Foundation. “Our family takes great pride in the success of this class and has enjoyed seeing it’s graduates go on to win as they get older. We are looking forward to hosting these hard working women and men again this year and are appreciative of all of the efforts the National Horse Show has made to host a safe competition. ”

With a mission to support organizations that are advancing the education, health or well being of individuals that are not able to do so on their own accord, the Hamel Family Foundation has made a positive impact on children across the country. In the past years, the foundation has used their sponsorship to give back to the equestrian community, a community close to that plays a large role in the family’s lives. This year more than ever, the foundation’s important message and purpose speaks volumes to the generosity and kindness of the Hamel Family.

“The Hamel Foundation 3’3″ Equitation Championship has become one of our marquee championships at the National Horse Show,” remarked Jennifer Burger, President of the National Horse Show. “We greatly appreciate the continued support of the Hamel Family Foundation and are looking forward to the success of this class for many years.”

Introduced to the National Horse Show in 2017, the Hamel Family Foundation NHS 3’3” Equitation Championship brings together some of the country’s most talented up-and-coming equitation athletes. This class has allowed countless riders the opportunity to compete at the prestigious indoor event and gain experience in working towards one day riding in the esteemed ASPCA Maclay National Championships, a progression that has already taken place for a number of riders in the past three years of competition.
