Gay Polo League’s England Tournament Featured by Horse & Country TV

Windsor, England – Oct. 5, 2018 – Couldn’t make it to the Gay Polo League‘s (GPL) tournament in England? Luckily, Horse & Country TV has you covered! GPL is pleased to promote the 30-minute highlight program of their festive and competitive time across the pond. Held in the beautiful English countryside of Berkshire, with local and visiting equestrian aficionados in attendance to cheer on their favorite teams, two afternoon polo matches displayed the best of sport, friendly rivalry and GPL’s mission of equality, all of which was captured aptly by the talented filmmakers at Horse & Country TV.

“The entire GPL team had an amazing time competing in our debut tournament in England, and we are thrilled to be able to relive it through Horse & Country TV’s footage. The feature is appropriately named “Polo Proud,” which encompasses the mentality of all of our players – we are proud to be involved in a sport that is rich with history, tradition, speed and skill, as well as fosters inclusion of all people. Our time in England was one of our best international tournaments yet, and I can’t wait to add more to the calendar!” commented Chip McKenney, founder and president of GPL.

Four GPL teams comprised of players from eight different countries participated in the event, with the Phelps Media Group-sponsored squad ultimately emerging victorious in the inaugural English tournament. The team conquered Bell Rock Capital in the preliminary round of play, and subsequently earned bragging rights with the win over RSM with a final score of 5-3. A GPL veteran, Gordon Ross of Canada received the MVP award, a custom polo helmet courtesy of Instinct Polo.
