Watch Le Saut Hermès CSI5* and Grand Prix Hermès CSI5* on Horse & Country TV
Wellington, Fla. – March 29, 2019 – Saut Hermès is one of the most exciting and prestigious show jumping events in the world. It takes place inside the magnificent Grand Palais in Paris, France, and hosts classes for young riders as well as those at the very top of the sport.
Horse & Country TV (H&C TV) will be airing coverage of the 2019 Saut Hermès starting with the Le Saut Hermès CSI5* class on Friday, March 29, at 8 p.m. EST followed by the premiere of the prestigious €400,000 Grand Prix Hermès CSI5* on Saturday, March 30, at 8 p.m. EST. The French certainly represented their home nation well, displaying impressive athleticism to claim both of the highlight events during the 2019 Saut Hermès.
Olivier Perreau and Venizia D’Aiguilly won the Le Saut Hermès CSI5* with a double-clear performance, outpacing second place finisher, Ireland’s Mark McAuley’s, time by four seconds.
In the €400,000 Grand Prix Hermès CSI5*, hometown hero Simon Delestre earned the winning title for the second year in a row aboard his and Philippe Berthol’s aptly named Hermès Ryan. He and the 13-year-old Selle Français gelding secured a narrow victory over runner-up Christian Ahlmann (GER) by just two-tenths of a second in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.
The broadcast of the Le Saut Hermès CSI5* class will also be available on demand on H&C TV from Saturday, March 30, while the €400,000 Grand Prix Hermès CSI5* will be available on demand from Sunday, March 31.
