Exclusive Auction Items Featured at 2019 Buffalo International Horse Show

Buffalo – N.Y. – Aug. 26, 2019 – The 73rd Buffalo International Horse Show (BIHS) has announced its exciting list of silent auction items that will be up for grabs at this year’s event. The historic horse show will run from Sept. 9-12 at the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) in Buffalo, New York to benefit the facility and the therapeutic riding program.

The BTRC is a therapeutic riding program open to children of all socio-economic backgrounds. The positive, friendly and safe atmosphere enables children with special needs and disabilities to develop both physically and emotionally through forming a special bond with horses. Each year, the BIHS features some of the top professional, junior and amateur riders in the nation as they garner sought-after points and experience leading into the fall indoor circuit while raising crucial funds for the BTRC. The silent auction is always a fan-favorite of the event with one-of-a-kind items up for grabs.

Featured auction items at the 2019 BIHS include:

  • Weekend in Wine Country – Take a break in the Finger Lakes and enjoy a weekend at Seneca Vista on Seneca Lake. This beautiful home boasts panoramic views of Seneca Lake from each room and provides a great getaway for friends and family. Donated by Jim Lougen.
  • Staycation at the Westin Hotel – Buffalo – Enjoy a staycation at the beautiful Westin Hotel in downtown Buffalo for a one night stay and dinner for two at Patina 250, the Westin’s award-winning restaurant. Donated by Delaware North Companies.
  • Lunch or Dinner for Two – Daniela’s Restaurant – Enjoy a lunch or dinner for 2 at the brand new restaurant owned and operated by Daniela Kayser. The staff at Daniela have been trained in the art of making this pizza by Roman chef, Chef Davide D’Eramo. Donated by Daniela Kayser.
  • World Equestrian Center 2019 October Horse Show – One lucky winner will enjoy a free stall at the World Equestrian Center’s October show – October 23-27. Donated by World Equestrian Center.
  • Evening at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens – Great food, amazing atmosphere, and fine wine can all be yours at Salvatore’s. This package includes a five-course dinner for four with wine pairings. Donated by Russell J. & Amanda Salvatore; Salvatore’s Italian Gardens.
  • Buffalo Bison’s Package – Join the Buffalo Bison’s to build memories your friends and/or family will never forget! With four game tickets in hand, you’ll start the game by throwing the Ceremonial First Pitch and then enjoy the remainder of the game with four regular hot dogs and four small sodas.   • Road Less Traveled 2019-2020 Season Tickets – Road Less Traveled Productions challenges audiences through provocative storytelling and passionate artistry.   • Booze Cooler – What better way to wind down summer or kick off the fall season by gathering friends and family to sample an array of alcohols and mixers.   • Wine Basket -Take home this incredible basket filled with all the necessities to pair the wines with meats and cheeses etc. to either to savor for yourself or to share with the company of family and/or friends. As the newest connoisseur on the black, invite everyone over to sample wines from a variety of regions! Donated by Friends of BTRC
  • Portrait Package from Rhea Anna Photography – Join Rhea for an hour and a half on-location photography session. You’ll take home 5 prints to display in your home or office and 5 digital files to share with family and friends! Donated by Rhea Anna.
  • Chef’s Dinner Package – Dinner and drinks for six at Chef’s – one of Buffalo’s favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants known for its delicious tomato sauce and even better chicken parmesan. Chef’s has been satisfying the appetites and delighting the palates of countless lunch and dinner patrons for more than 50 years and you can be a part of that history when you and five other friends or family dine here.   • Nancy Baldwin Artwork – Add this beautiful piece of artwork to your home or office -a hand painted 1940s box with three drawers. Artist Nancy Baldwin has been the mastermind behind innumerable horse-themed works of art and this particular piece will fit perfectly on a table and the rich dark green paint is perfect to blend in with any fall décor.   • $500 Shopping Spree at Elizabeth Lynn Designs – This incredible shopping spree will have you decked out in customizable designs! Whether it’s a new set of engraved glasses, beautiful stationery for your next big event, or hilarious toys for dogs of any size, you can find it all through Elizabeth Lynn Designs.   • R&R at Danny & Ron’s Rescue – One night stay at Old McCaskill’s Farm in Rembert, South Carolina, a B&B owned and operated by Kathie and Lee McCaskill. Enjoy activities such as canning instruction, a Friday farm-to-table lunch, and other trips and tours. Then spend the day with Danny and Ron at Danny and Ron’s Rescue to experience a “day-in-the-life” and to learn about the mission they began in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in need.
