CaptiveOne Highlights Revolutionary New Product, Show+, During Educational Q&A Session at The Wellington Club

Wellington, Fl – Jan. 16, 2020 – The winter equestrian competition season is finally upon us and equestrian athletes have descended on Wellington from around the world to compete at the prestigious Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF). New this year, exhibitors are going to be more protected than ever due to the launch of a revolutionary new product, Show+!

During its first educational lunch session of the 2020 season in the Wellington Club at PBIEC on Jan. 8, WEF hosted a special Question & Answer on Wednesday about their new Show+ product offered to competitors this year at PBIEC. Featuring Wayne Jenkins, Founder of CaptiveOne Advisors, the creator of the revolutionary Show + product, the Show+ Q&A session proved to be a great educational opportunity to learn more about the benefits and protections offered under Show+.

“CaptiveOne has been involved in the horse industry as a proud sponsor of ESP for over four years. As a part of the community, we would hear about horses and riders getting injured that really impacted their ability to compete and enjoy themselves,” Jenkins explained. “We began adapting Show+ after consulting many top riders, owners, veterinarians and show organizers to protect the riders and horses.”

During the session, Jenkins thanked Palm Beach Equine Clinic, as well as many professional riders and industry professionals, for their expertise and assistance in shaping the design of their unprecedented initiative. Show+ protects the passion of athletes, barn managers, horse owners, and show management alike. Included as part of their registration in competitions with Show+, including Equestrian Sport Productions’ WEG and AGDF, every rider and horse is covered for the unexpected that may occur while at the competition. Competitors will have protection for equine loss, emergency medical, medically necessitated scratches, and an unprecedented rider protection package.

“We were inspired by the generosity we saw by the equine community after witnessing serious accidents,” Jenkins said. “Imagine how unfair it would be if a rider had an unfortunate event where either horse or rider received a serious career-ending injury. With Show+, riders are now protected against those types of devastating accidents.

“Before WEF kicked off, there were three air ambulances that picked up riders last week on the show grounds, which is $25,000 the rider is responsible for,” he continued. “Riders understand they pay an ambulance fee with their entries but unfortunately it still costs them $25,000 to be flown to trauma treatment. Show+ helps alleviate that cost because it is a comprehensive program.”

Further detailing the benefits of Show+, Jenkins explained that while Show+ does not replace a horse owner’s insurance policy, it would be a beneficial supplement to protect against those unfortunate events that interfere with the ability to compete. Show+ will protect you whether your horse is insured or not. It is a seamless protection for the horse owner.”
