CaptiveOne Advisors LLC Celebrates 2019 Split Rock Jumping Tour Winners

Columbus, OH – Oct. 16, 2019 – Following the conclusion of the 2019 Split Rock Jumping Tour, CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC is celebrating the success of the top riders of their CaptiveOne classes throughout the series. The Split Rock Jumping Tour was founded five years ago with the goal of bringing an “Unparalleled Show Jumping Experience” to the United States by modeling successful European shows and CaptiveOne was proud to play a role in elevating the sport. With six FEI shows at five quality venues, the tour hosted top competition with top notch amenities for all to enjoy.

“It was a great experience to be involved with the entire Split Rock team this year,” Wayne Jenkins, founder and managing member for CaptiveOne Advisors LLC. “We take great pride in supporting shows that help strengthen the sport in the United States and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing top competition across the country during the tour.”

Most recently, at the penultimate event of the year for the Split Rock Jumping Tour, Alex Grenato raced his way to the top of the podium in the $135,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Columbus CSI3*-W presented by CaptiveOne. Fifty-three athletes made the trip to Ohio for the opportunity to pick up vital qualifying points for the 2020 Longines FEI World Cup Finals in Las Vegas next April. Granato’s season has been dedicated to qualifying for the world-class event, making his win on Carlchen W in the CaptiveOne sponsored class one of the most valuable of the year. Close behind him in the class was Margie Engle finishing in second place and Nicole Shahinian-Simpson in third. The week before at the CSI2* event, Uma O’Neill and Clockwise Of Greenhill Z brought home the blue ribbon in the $36,000 CaptiveOne CSI2* Welcome Stake.

While the World Cup qualifier was the prestigious finale to the 2019 series, CaptiveOne supported the Split Rock Jumping Tour during each stop of their calendar. This spring, the Lexington International CSI2* kicked off with nearly 40 entries vying for the lion’s share of the $36,000 CaptiveOne CSI2* Welcome Stake. Winning the coveted title was Andrew Kocher and Darius De W who swiftly crossed the finish line ahead of the six other athletes that qualified for the jump-off.

In August, the series traveled to New Mexico for the third leg of the tour, the Santa Fe International CSI2*. With only a half a second separating the top three riders in the $36,000 CaptiveOne CSI2* Welcome Stake, Germany’s Mathis Schwentker piloted Nkh Caruso to victory.
Karl Cook and Fecybelle
Continuing the series in September was Split Rock Jumping Tour’s Sonoma International CSI2* hosted at the Sonoma Horse Park in Petaluma, California. Karl Cook earned the top placing in the $36,000 CaptiveOne CSI2* Welcome Stake out of a competitive field of 70 horse and rider combinations. Riding his 9-year-old mare Fecybelle, Cook took the lead in the jump-off by just over a second.
“It was such a pleasure having CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC partner with SRJT this year,” Derek Braun, the president and founder of the tour. “Not only did we develop new friendships with the entire team at CaptiveOne, but we also realized how vital is to add a captive to any business. We look forward to continuing this partnership for many years to come!”
