Brandywine Horse Shows 2019 Prize List Now Available Online

Devon, Pa. – April 15, 2019 – Entries are now open for the 2019 Brandywine Horse Shows, which will offer two weeks of superior hunter, jumper, and equitation competition at the iconic Devon Show Grounds. The event will feature two premiere rated shows, which will run June 26 – 30 and July 2 – 7, as well as the USEF Junior Hunter National Championships – East Coast, on July 8 and 9, 2019. Entries must be submitted by May 24th, so be sure to visit BrandywineHorseShows.com to download the prize list and forms. This year’s title sponsor will be the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund, and the show will once again be presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS).

“We are very excited to welcome everyone back to Brandywine this summer,” said show manager Geoff Teall. “We are set to offer two weeks of exciting competition and hospitality to all our returning and new exhibitors, as well as put on thrilling horse sport for spectators.”

The World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) program recognizes the first week of competition. The USHJA hosts the Open and Junior/Amateur Owner $5,000 3″ National Hunter Derbies on both Saturday nights, with the Pony Hunter Derby on Sunday, June 30, the Green Hunter Incentive Program both weeks, and the $5,000 Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships, with one championship for the 3′ and 3’3″ and a second championship for the 3’6″ and 3’9″.

Each week of the highly anticipated show has an array of options to fit a variety of riders’ abilities, from lead line to national derbies events. Throughout the duration of the event, over $100,000 in prize money will be awarded to riders of all ages from professionals to young riders.

Due to its immense success last year, Brandywine will continue to host its third annual Brandywine Cup Equitation Classics. They will be held on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 6. The $2,500 Mike Rheinheimer Equitation Trainers Award will again be presented to the trainer of the overall Brandywine Cup winner during the second week.

Other exciting opportunities include the THIS National Children’s and Adult Medals, NAL and M&S High Children’s Adult Jumper Classics, the Hamel NHS 3’3″ Medal, a $6,500 Green Hunter Section, including classes at the 3″ and 3’3″ height. The Platinum Performance/USEF Talent Search 2* will also be offered in week two.

For jumper riders, there will be the $14,500 Junior/Amateur Owner Jumpers, as well as the WIHS/NAL Child/Adult Jumpers.

On July 8 and 9, the USEF Junior Hunter National Championships – East Coast will take place, with each respective division having a classic, handy, and under saddle class. Divisions are offered at the 3’3″ and 3’6″ height, and there also will be the USHJA Hunterdon Cup, which will take place on Monday, July 8.
