USEF National Jumper Champion Shares Her Stable’s Whole Horse Health Secrets

Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 14, 2020 – For Courtney Phibbs Boyd, professional rider and 3 time United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Jumper Champion, BioStar US was just the right fit when she was in the market for high quality whole horse nutrition for her stable. BioStar prides itself on being able to support the needs of equine athletes with a variety of different nutritional needs, and was able to customize a program for Boyd’s Court Lin Frae Stables, the professional training program that she owns and manages in Wellington, Florida.

“The woman who does a lot of the body work on our horses was experienced with BioStar, and I had actually come across their website,” Boyd said. “When she mentioned the [BioStar] products, they were already familiar and we experimented with one of the horses. We changed the total feeding program, started using the supplements and recommendations for the horse, and he had such a dramatic change in his body and color.”

Frequently traveling to high profile shows across North America to compete in Grand Prix level show jumping as well as the hunter divisions, Boyd knew that she wanted her horses to receive the best possible fuel for their bodies. After meeting with BioStar founder Tigger Montague, who completed a full assessment and nutritional consultation for her barn, she had a feed and supplement program put together for her entire barn. It didn’t take long for her to realize that her relationship with BioStar would be a long term one.

“After circuit that year, I switched everyone over and our horses have never looked better,” Boyd explained. “Their muscle tone is so even, there aren’t any lumps or bumps. Even horses that carry a little more weight don’t have visible fat pockets at all. Even their temperaments have changed.

“She went through every single horse and made a list – She wasn’t just trying to sell her products, she was really listening to my complaints and asking good questions,” she continued. “She came up with a good program, and it was a lot of information at first. One of the reasons I didn’t switch during circuit was because I thought it might take some time to get familiar with, but it’s actually quite easy to do your whole program with the right food and right supplements to back everything up. You don’t go through the supplements very quickly because there are no fillers, and the horses are getting exactly what they need.”

Boyd currently has the ten horses in her stable on a full BioStar nutrition regimen, and noted what a consistent difference the BioStar products have made for her team. While she loves all of the products she implements with her horses, one of her favorites is Empower EQ, the cold-pressed Hemp Seed Oil supplement.

“It really has been a good experience, and it’s not as complicated as anyone might think it would be to put the whole program together,” Boyd said. “It’s very easy and the products are priced really well – Everything just works together.”
