Wellington, Fla. – Sept. 19, 2018 – Taylor Harris Insurance Services (THIS) is pleased to announce the addition of Christina Kalinski, a former professional rider and trainer and Hillary Lak, a horse trial specialist to their office staff in Middleburg, Virginia.
Christina started riding at the age of six and has been pursuing her life’s passion ever since. She’s spent the last 11 years as a professional rider and trainer, specializing in hunters and jumpers, and splitting her time between the northeast and Wellington, Florida.
Under the tutelage of famed trainer and judge, Ralph Caristo, she was able too define and refine her techniques; focusing her efforts on being an instructor and manager. Stepping out as a professional she produced many riders and horses to the winners circle. One of her greatest joys was helping others reach their full potential in the sport and creating a healthy and safe environment for the horses to flourish.
Christina graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a B.A. in English and a minor in Politics. She competed on three riding teams: ANRC, IHSA, and A Show Team.
Originally from Massachusetts, Hillary started eventing at an early age. After several years working, training, and competing with top coaches on both East and West coasts, she is happy to call Virginia her home. She enjoys transitioning off track thoroughbreds to new careers, and can often be found training her own young event horse, Blitzkrieg Bop.
