Shop for Charity on Giving Tuesday with Changing Tides

Gordonsville, Va. – December 3, 2019 – Find the perfect gift for all of your loved ones while also supporting charities around the world by shopping at Changing Tides this year for Giving Tuesday. Every purchase made supports an environmental organization of the artist’s choice, as well as the groups supported by Changing Tides.

When you purchase a Recycled Bottle Hat, Conner Hats plants 25 trees for every hat sold, and Changing Tides donates a percentage of every sale to Ocean Conservancy.

For each item in the Peace Jewelry collection, made from discarded bullet and bomb casings, a portion of sales is donated to pay for clearing  land in Cambodia and Laos of unexploded munitions and bombs left over from the Vietnam War.

The beautiful Catnip Birds support the feeding and medical care of feral cat colonies across the US. They are handmade from upcycled wool sweaters and use organic catnip, so they’re earth and cat friendly.

Found in the Last Chance collection and currently on sale, a portion of the proceeds from the Guitar String Lyre Earrings go to the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation, which funds the New Orleans Musicians Clinic.

Also in the Last Chance collection and currently on sale, a portion of the proceeds from the Cerulean Scarves are donated to the American Bird Conservancy to protect native birds and their habitats throughout the Americas.

Finally, each amazing item from the upcycled Firehose Bags and Belts collection that are made in the UK from genuine reclaimed fire hoses, parachute silk, printing blankets, and excess leather from the luxury leather industry donate a portion of the proceeds to the Firefighters Charity in England.

Changing Tides (a branch of BioStar US) is dedicated to giving back to our communities and to the earth. The products they offer – upcycled, repurposed, reimagined – are both environmentally conscious and financially supportive to important environmental organizations making an impact.

Purchases help support Ocean Conservancy, working to bring people, science and policy together with a mission to counter the many threats to ocean health and sustainability. From protecting vital, vulnerable ecosystems through legislation, to enforcing accountability among leaders, Ocean Conservancy seeks solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.
