Savonna Adell’s Pony Hunters Conclude Successful Indoor Season

Wellington, Fla. – Oct. 16, 2018 – Savonna Adell and the team at Little Brook Farms are no strangers to the winner’s circle, and they continued their success this fall after qualifying for and competing at some of the most prestigious indoor horse shows in the country, including the Capital Challenge Horse Show held at the Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and the Pennsylvania National Horse Show held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Trained by Gary, Donna and Kelsey Duffy at Little Brook Farms based in Saratoga, New York and Wellington, Florida, 12-year-old Adell rose to the occasion and executed solid performances in the pony hunter divisions at both horse shows.

“It’s so exciting to compete at Indoors,” expressed Adell. “All three of my ponies were great and it was a wonderful way to finish out the year with them. I had a great time at both shows and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish next year.”

Adell had great results riding one of her mounts, Spellbound, in a competitive Large Pony Hunter division. The talented pair has quickly built a partnership together since moving up to the division in April after a fantastic winter season competing at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Adell and the chestnut gelding took home ribbons at both of the historic competitions, adding to their long resume of success for 2018.

The young rider also rode Sportin’ Around and Blackout to top ribbons in the Medium Pony Hunter division to close out the 2018 show season. Adell has accumulated many ribbons and prizes throughout the year at some of the foremost competitions, but more importantly she is continuing to learn and flourish with each of her mounts. After wrapping up an excellent indoor season, Adell will now look ahead and prepare for the upcoming winter season where she will compete again at WEF in Wellington, Florida under the tutelage of Little Brook Farms.

“Savonna has come so far this year and it was exciting to see her bring home ribbons at Capital Challenge and Harrisburg,” said trainer Gary Duffy. “It’s wonderful to just have the opportunity to compete at these events, but it was Savonna’s hard work at home with her ponies that helped to her to be so successful this year. We are already planning ahead and looking forward to 2019!”

During the Capital Challenge Horse Show and the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Adell also competed in the Junior Hunters aboard Redeemed, and they are now preparing for their final competition of the season at the National Horse Show in Lexington, Kentucky.
