Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 15, 2017 – Excitement continues to build for Wellington’s newest equestrian competition, the Deeridge Derby Weekend, presented by the National Horse Show Association of America, Ltd. for the benefit of the USHJA Foundation — an event that will showcase the world’s greatest athletes in a setting that couldn’t be more perfect to highlight the grace and beauty of the sport of hunters. Deeridge Farms is considered one of Wellington’s most gorgeous estates and stables. Following last year’s Wellington Masters and this year’s Palm Beach Masters, Deeridge Farms has proved itself to be a perfect setting for a show jumping World Cup qualifier — one of the most prestigious and important show jumping series in the world.
This year the hunters will take center stage on the week of March 1–5.

While the hunters will be highlighted Friday through Sunday in the grass Hollow Brook Wealth Management Grand Prix Field, jumper exhibitors haven’t been forgotten. An array of jumper classes is scheduled for the Hollow Brook Wealth Management Grand Prix Field on Wednesday and Thursday and for the Deeridge Jumper Ring Friday through Sunday, culminating with the $7,500 1.25m Jumper Derby on Sunday, March 5. Sunday, of course, also brings the heated hunter action to a close, as the finalists compete in the second round of the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by the World Equestrian Center, at 2 p.m.
