Pony Lane Farm Celebrates 12 Weeks of Winter Equestrian Festival Success

Wellington, Fla. – Apr. 10, 2019 – Pony Lane Farm, an elite boarding, training, and breeding facility based in Bluffdale, Utah, and Wellington, Florida, has once again continued its top-notch reputation by having another successful winter season competing at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) over the past three months. Many of their young hunters and jumpers gained valuable experience in their respective rings and had consistent results throughout the twelve weeks of competition.

Founded by the Thatcher family, Pony Lane Farm specializes in the breeding of elite sport horses for the hunter, jumper and equitation rings. The Thatcher family teams up with Our Day Farm of Elgin, Illinois and Wellington to ride and produce the young talents.

Setting the tone for what would be a prosperous winter for the Pony Lane Farm team, the first week of WEF kicked off with Kelsey Cruciotti and New Girl taking third place in a competitive $1,500 Medium Amateur-Owner Jumper 1.30m out of a starting field of 40 entries. In addition, Charlie Jayne and Vermont ODF captured second place honors in the 6-Year-Old Young Jumper 1.25m.

The following week brought more top results with Jayne and Vermont ODF winning a class and securing the reserve championship ribbon in the 6-Year-Old 1.25m Jumper division. Madeline Thatcher piloted Silliane De Varnel to second place honors in the $10,000 NAL Low Amateur-Owner 1.25m Classic out of 84 entries. In the hunter ring, Maggie Jayne and Kaptain Kirk ODF were reserve champions in the Young 3′ Hunter 5 Year Old and Under.

In the remaining weeks of the circuit, Amy Brubaker and Like I Said took home the championship title in the Adult Amateur Hunter Older division twice, and Madeline Thatcher and Skilliane de Varnel were named the Low Amateur-Owner Jumper champions. Charlie Jayne rode to many top placings with Vermont ODF, and Haylie Rolfe rode Queen Celeste to continued success in the hunter ring.

Pony Lane Farm looks forward to an exciting summer of new additions, partnerships, and shows as some horses will travel to Chicago to be based out of Our Day Farm, and others will return to their Utah home. Some of the competitions that they will travel to include shows at the Kentucky Horse Park, the Tryon International Equestrian Center, Summer in the Rockies and Chicago area shows.
