The National Horse Show Mourns the Loss of Hunter Harrison

Lexington, Ky. – Dec. 19, 2017 – The National Horse Show is saddened by the passing our beloved friend and loyal patron, Hunter Harrison. Harrison served as the National Horse Show Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2012-2017 and facilitated the longtime partnership of Canadian Pacific Railways as the title sponsor of the National Horse Show.

Harrison was as prolific in the sport horse industry as he was in the railroad business. As the owner of Double H Farm, Harrison purchased horses that are recognized as some of the best horses in modern show jumping history, including two-time gold medal winner, Sapphire, under the guidance of McClain Ward. Ward is also the pilot of HH Azur as well as the recently retired HH Carlos. Currently being operated by Harrison’s daughter, Cayce and her husband Quentin Judge, Harrison’s legacy is continued through the excellence of their program.
