Upperville, Va. – April 18, 2018 – Media credential applications for the upcoming Upperville Colt & Horse Show (UCHS), presented by St. Bride’s Farm, are now available online. Held at the Grafton and Salem Farm showgrounds in picturesque Upperville, Virginia, the annual seven-day event is the oldest horse show in the nation and is sure to be better than ever during its 165th anniversary. The annual event draws the country’s top athletes, including Olympic Show Jumping team gold medalist and World Cup champion McLain Ward.
This year’s show will run from Monday, June 4, through Sunday, June 10. The FEI-ranked CSI4* event boasts a Premier “AA” and Level 6 jumper designation with the USEF, VHSA and MHSA and is a World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) recognized show. Some of the highlight classes include the $216,000 Upperville Jumper Classic CSI4*, presented by Lugano Diamonds and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith and the $40,000 Welcome Stakes CSI4*, presented by BOWA, Washington Fine Properties (Jim Thompson) and Wiseman & Associates.
Press credentials for the UCHS are limited and will be issued at the discretion of the UCHS Press Secretary. Admission to the press area is restricted to those issued UCHS press credentials. These credentials are issued to media representatives to facilitate pre- and post-show coverage of the event, with priority going to members of the press who have assisted in pre-show coverage for the year.
