Traverse City, Mich. – June 10, 2019 – Organizers of the highly anticipated Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne, are pleased to officially be accepting applications for media credentials for the 2019 circuit. This year’s event will feature six consecutive weeks of world-class hunter, jumper and equitation competition from July 3-Aug. 11.
GLEF would also like to extend an invitation to all members of the local media to the 2019 GLEF Media Day on Friday, July 5, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Flintfields Horse Park. This inaugural event will be an excellent opportunity for members of the local media to learn more about all of the happenings during the upcoming GLEF season.
In addition to receiving a media credential pass and a brief run down of the schedule of events, attendees will learn more about the Olympic sport of show jumping from a professional rider, receive instructions on what to do when coming to cover the competitions on grand prix days (where to go, how to request interviews, reserve a media golf cart, etc.) and other resources to assist in your coverage of #GLEF2019! All attendees will be treated to a catered breakfast in the VIP Club and, as a token of our appreciation for attending, will receive two VIP passes for a Sunday grand prix. To request an invitation to the 2019 GLEF Media Day, please email Cody Brown at firstname.lastname@example.org.
