Live on Horse & Country TV: CHI Geneva

Watch Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final Today and Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* on Sunday

Wellington, Fla. – Dec. 7, 2018 – On Friday and Sunday, watch two major show jumping competitions live from CHI Geneva in Switzerland on Horse & Country TV (H&C TV)! The Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final will air live on Friday, Dec. 7, at 1:45 p.m. EST, while the highly anticipated Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* will broadcast in real-time on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 8:15 a.m. EST.

The Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final brings together the top 10 athletes in the International Jumping Riders Club (IJRC) to compete for the prestigious title. The IJRC is open, with right to vote, to all athletes who have taken part in the Olympic Games, in world or continental championships, in at least five Nations Cups and to athletes ranked among the top 300 in the world.

In the 18th edition of the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final, with CHI Geneva hosting for the 14th time, the 10 athletes set to compete are: Harrie Smolders (NED), Steve Guerdat (SUI), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Marcus Ehning (GER), McLain Ward (USA), Peder Fredricson (SWE), Daniel Deusser (GER), Martin Fuchs (SUI), Niels Bruynseels (BEL) and Ben Maher (GBR).

In addition, Sunday’s Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* is part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping — the toughest series in show jumping offering one of the biggest prizes in the sport with a €1 million bonus going to any athlete who can consecutively win three grand prix events at the Dutch Masters, Aachen, Spruce Meadows and CHI Geneva. If that same athlete then wins a fourth major in succession, they win an additional €1 million bonus prize.

Great Britain’s Scott Brash is the only athlete in history to have achieved such a feat in 2015 riding Hello Sanctos.

Egypt’s Sameh El Dahan is the current grand slam contender, following his victory in the CP International Grand Prix CSI5*, presented by Rolex, at Spruce Meadows in September. However, he faces stiff competition in Geneva, including 2017 champion Kent Farrington (USA).

If you miss either of these spectacular competitions during their live broadcasts, never fear! H&C TV will be replaying both events as-live with the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final airing on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. EST and the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* airing again on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 8:30 p.m. EST.
