Devon, Pa. – May 26, 2020 – The Ladies Day event has been a tradition at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair that dates back to the early 1900’s, and took place on the same day as the ladies sidesaddle competition. This year the Ladies Day tradition will live on, virtually, and for the first time ever there will be a special category for equestrians and men!
The annual Fashion Show and Hat Contest will still include a panel of esteemed judges and exciting prizes even though we are doing things a bit differently with a fresh quarantine spin on it! This year’s edition is sure to be unforgettable – especially now that Patricia Altschul, Charleston grande dame and star of Bravo’s “Southern Charm,” is joining in as a guest judge.
Altschul will join Devon favorite Carson Kressley, Fashion at the Races blogger Zoya Egan and Main Line Fashionista Ashley Myers to preside over this year’s Fashion Show and Hat Contest, which will take place virtually over Zoom. Attendance is limited to 250 participants.
Carlton Epps will also be on hand to show attendees how to prepare the perfect Quarantini. The event is sponsored by Brightview Senior Living.
This event will be more relaxed with a focus on fun and keeping the true Devon spirit alive! Advance ticket purchase to participate in contest or attend begin at $25 and will close at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27.
Although the community cannot be together physically, we are all looking forward to reliving the history and magic of the DHSCF through the virtual event!
