An Exciting Weekend For Cherry Knoll Farm at the Atlantic National Super Point Roll of Victory Angus Show

Timonium, Md. – June 11, 2018 After an exciting weekend in Timonium, Maryland, Cherry Knoll Farm took home many championship titles at the Atlantic National Super Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show on May 25-26. Of the 188 entries, Cherry Knoll Farm lead the competition, taking Premier Breeder Award, along with six championship and five reserve championship titles.

In the open show, the Late Summer Calf Champion was awarded to Cherry Knoll May 1798, owned by Erin Barnes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, while the Woodruff Brother’s Cherry Knoll May 1672 won Intermediate Champion Heifer. Continuing the success in the heifer open show was Cherry Knoll Ark Pride 1593, owned by Elizabeth Trowbridge of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, who claimed Senior Yearling Champion Female. Earning the Reserve Late Spring Calf Champion title was Cherry Knoll Elisha 1732, who was shown by Cailey Dahlquist of Washington, Pennsylvania. In the cow/calf open show, Cherry Knoll Lady 1481 and Brody Fitzgerald received Reserve Grand Champion Cow/Calf.

“I’m pleased with the results from Atlantic National both in the open and junior show,” Cherry Knoll Farm’s cattle manager, Tim Fitzgerald, said. “Our team works very hard so I was thrilled to see their dedication pay off with multiple titles.”

Bulls bred by Cherry Knoll Farm also received top placings in the open show with CD Final Product, owned by Courtney Dahlquist, winning the title of Senior Calf Champion Bull. Receiving the Reserve Junior Champion Bull was Wilmer Hostetter’s Cherry Knoll Brennen 1609.

Later in the weekend the juniors showed and one of the highlights of the competition was when Cherry Knoll Lady 1481, shown by Brody Fitzgerald, claimed the Grand Champion Cow/Calf title. Following behind Cherry Knoll Lady 1481 to receive the division’s reserve championship was Jera Pipkin and Cherry Knoll Lady 1467.
The Woodruff Brother’s Cherry Knoll May 1672 claimed the Intermediate Champion Heifer title, while Michael Butz and Mitchell MB Premium 1711 received Reserve Intermediate Champion Bull.

In addition to all of Cherry Knoll Farm’s tricolor awards, they continued to demonstrate excellent showmanship throughout the competition and their team earned multiple top placings. Placing second in their Bred and Owned classes were Clearnater Lady 1801, shown by Jera Pipkin, Cherry Knoll Lady 720, shown by Brody Fitzgerald, and Cherry Knoll Lady 712, owned with ZWT Cattle Co. In the Owned Heifer Show, Cherry Knoll Elsa 1795, shown by Jera Pipkin, also received second in her class. Michael Butz, Cailey Dahlquist and Luke Ryba all earned placings in the top end of their respected classes.
