“Congratulations to Lexi and Caroline on their well-deserved wins in the $10,000 EquiJet Under 25 Summer Series! Supporting these classes has been one of the highlights of our summer, and we are thrilled with how the series turned out. The exhibitors put on a great show, and we can’t wait to work with the four young competitors who earned travel credits to help them organize their horses’ transportation to a future event. Angelstone Tournaments has been amazing to work with, and we found this to be one of our most valuable partnerships,” commented Bastian Schroeder, Founder and President of EquiJet.

The first round of the two-part series, the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Phase I, took place Friday, Aug. 23 in front of a lively crowd to commence the competition. After a technical first round that asked athletes to master the track with precision, six horse-and-rider combinations had qualified for a spot over the short course in the jump-off. Though three partnerships were able to master the abridged pattern with zero faults, one pair was the clear victor as they completed the course more than six seconds ahead of the next-closest finisher. Riding to a time of 43.589, Ray and Jewel clinched the tricolor and the top spot on the podium as the series’ early leaders, followed by Emma Slaunwhite and Truly Canadian in second position in a time of 49.807 seconds. Mackenzie Wray piloted Jewel LVP to third place overall to round out the podium.

The finale returned to Angelstone Tournaments the following week on Friday, Aug. 30, with contenders once again challenging the course for a shot at the coveted prize. Following a hard-fought class in the $5,000 EquiJet U25 Final, one pair had separated themselves from the pack as the only double-clear duo of the evening. Tripping the timers in 42.908 seconds with all the fences intact, Di Vittorio and Auburn De Rosiers secured victory ahead of the jump-off field to conclude the series with a new accolade to their names and the lead spot in the victory gallop. Chanelle Sjolander finished in second place aboard Cuenta Atras, while Barbara Ruziska rode Dynamite to third position.
