David Marcus and Nicholas Fyffe in Demand as Clinicians

Wellington, Fla. – May 9, 2016 – Olympian David Marcus and international Grand Prix dressage rider Nicholas Fyffe are accomplished competitors and have built a strong reputation as professional, positive trainers. They offer fresh perspectives grounded in a systematic training method emphasizing the welfare of the horse. Their students, who include youth riders, adult amateurs and professionals, have found success in the show ring ranging from wins in international CDIs to medals at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships.
The pair married in November 2015 and combined their successful dressage businesses to create Marcus Fyffe Dressage. They train students year-round at their base, Stillpoint Farm in Wellington, Florida, while also traveling around the world teaching annual clinics as well as adding new clinic locations to their schedules. This summer, Marcus will make the trip to Europe to coach one of their students, Tuny Page, as she competes in the United States selection trials with the goal of riding on the Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Marcus and Fyffe teamed up to host a clinic at Stillpoint Farm on April 13. The sessions were recorded by DressageClinic.com and included training and demonstrations from both athletes. Laura Killian of Wellington, Florida, was initially impressed when she saw Marcus and Fyffe give a presentation to The Dressage Foundation’s Florida Dream Tour. After hearing about their Stillpoint Farm clinic, she took advantage of the educational opportunity, riding in a session with Fyffe.
“The clinic was great!” Killian said. “Nicholas was very patient. He gave different ways to explain the same concept until it really resonated with me. He also gave a lot of tips along the way that made a difference in my position, helping me get better reactions with my aids.”

Along with their joint clinic, both Marcus and Fyffe frequently teach individual clinics around the U.S. and Canada. In April, Marcus traveled to two prestigious equine symposiums to share his knowledge and skills with tens of thousands of audience members. On April 7-10, he attended Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio as a featured clinician, and soon after, he was a featured clinician at The Mane Event in Alberta, Canada.
Auditors and participants appreciated Marcus’ expertise and positive training style. Lorri Wolfe, from Johnstown, Ohio, rode Mon Ami, an 11-year-old Oldenburg cross mare, in his Equine Affaire symposium.
“I would absolutely recommend David!” Wolfe said. “He was really encouraging to both horse and rider and was extremely professional. His approach and speaking style are very palatable to the riders he is teaching. Knowledge and skill go a long way, but when the trainer genuinely cares about you and your horse, it makes all the difference!”
Both Marcus and Fyffe are available to travel for clinics, and they welcome riders of all experience levels who are interested in learning and improving their abilities and connection with the horse. Contact info@marcusfyffedressage.com to inquire about clinic opportunities.
