Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 7, 2019 – The Chesapeake International Draft Horse Show is pleased to announce Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Wellington as the official on-site veterinary practice for the weekend of Feb. 8-10. The Chesapeake International Draft Horse Show kicks off on Friday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. and continues on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. and Sunday, Feb 10. at 12 p.m.
This unique event will showcase the equestrian world’s gentle giants up close, and offer a family-friendly experience with entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Hosted by Victoria McCullough at Crab Orchard Equestrian Estate, generously donated by Frank and Monica McCourt, this event is free to the public with donations benefiting the EQUUS Foundation and the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches.
Officially opening their South Florida location in November of 2016, Rood & Riddle is one of the country’s most respected equine hospitals. Their location in Wellington provides a variety of services including elective and emergency surgery, diagnostic imaging, sport horse medicine, internal medicine, podiatry and advanced reproductive services.
Founded in 1982 in Lexington, KY, the Rood & Riddle name is known across the country and internationally as a leader in equine medicine and surgery. They now boast locations in Saratoga NY, and Wellington, FL in addition to their original 24-acre facility in Lexington.
