Wellington, Fla. – Aug. 3, 2016 – CBS 12 News and Kara Duffy highlighted the unique equine non-profit, Horses Healing Hearts (HHH), on Monday, Aug. 1 during their news broadcast. The story explored the life-changing program HHH offers to children of alcoholics and addicts, and the hope the one-of-a kind program provides.
Horses Healing Hearts is the only program in the United States using horses to help children of alcoholics and addicts. The West Palm Beach charity gives children of addicts a safe place where they learn valuable coping skills and heal emotionally.
“They’re able to share anything that happened during that week that they just want to get off their chest,” Olszewski said in the broadcast. “You could hear, ‘I got an A on my test or my dad’s on life support because he overdosed.’ It really varies.”
