California Organizations Work Together to Bring Dog and Puppy Adoption to Temecula Valley National Horse Show

Temecula, Calif. – May 22, 2018 – Nilforushan Equisport Events is thrilled to host two upcoming Thrive Animal Rescue dog and puppy adoption events, sponsored by KindredBio, that will take place May 25 – 26 and again June 2 – 3, 2018 at Galway Downs during the next two weeks of the Temecula Valley National Horse Show. On Saturday and Sunday during both weeks of the last installments of the series, a litter of local rescue dogs will be brought to the horse show for lucky exhibitors to adopt into loving homes. Keep an eye out for the big, red Rescue Express Bus, where you can pet and play with some adoptable four-legged friends.

The Rescue Express Bus will bring adoptable puppies to the Temecula Valley National Horse Show.

“Thrive Animal Rescue is honored to be bringing our adorable adoptables to Galway Downs for a Nilforushan Equisport Events horse show! The unwavering support of the horse show community has been essential to our growth since the day we started,” said Susan Saladino, Thrive representative. “Having successfully placed all of our Louisiana Puppy Express puppies last month, we are now on a mission to rescue dogs from the overcrowded, high-kill shelters in Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties, and we will be bringing a group of puppies to the horse show that were found on the streets of Tijuana. We look forward to our dogs finding their forever homes among the wonderful exhibitors in Temecula who understand what a privilege it is to own a rescue dog. Thank you to Ali and Francie Nilforushan for all they have done to help animals in need!”

Thrive Animal Rescue’s mission is to save abandoned dogs from the loneliness of shelter life and place them into loving families and forever homes. Aided by families who choose to donate, volunteer by opening their home to a dog in need of fostering, or sponsor a senior, the charity has saved hundreds of dogs. Founded in April 2014 by equestrians Cece Bloum and Georgia Spogli, the 501c3 organization is headquartered at Newmarket Farm, in North County, San Diego, where newly rescued Thrive dogs can run around, roll in the grass and appreciate their first hours and days out of the shelter before being adopted.

Thrive has enjoyed a strong relationship with Rescue Express, which transports animals from high-kill shelters in Southern and Central California to rescue groups in the Pacific Northwest who find them forever homes. Since the inaugural transport in early 2015, Rescue Express has saved the lives of close to 15,000 animals using large-capacity school buses that have been converted and outfitted to safely and humanely transport up to 200 animals per trip. Rescue Express transport services are provided free of charge to their rescue partners. As a non-profit 501(c)3, they rely on support from donors in order to continue their mission to relocate animals and save lives.

“KindredBio is honored to work with Thrive, Rescue Express and Nilforushan Equisport Events to provide an opportunity to help pair these puppies with a loving home. We are all animal lovers at KindredBio; most of us have dogs, and many of us have horses, so this partnership is a natural fit for our organization,” stated Denise Bevers, Co-Founder and COO of KindredBio.

Sponsored by KindredBio, the dog and puppy adoption event is yet another way in which the forward-thinking company is working to provide better futures for animals everywhere. The core strategy of KindredBio is to “leverage the billions of dollars that have been invested by other companies in human pharmaceuticals by modifying, improving, and repurposing pre-existing drugs and therapeutics that have already proven to be safe and effective in humans.” One such way in which the company is achieving this goal is by working to develop felinized, caninized and equinized versions of proven human biologics.

Make sure to stop by the Rescue Express Bus at the horse show May 25 – 26 and June 2 – 3, 2018 to find your next best friend!
