Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 16, 2018 – Brooke USA, a nonprofit organization supporting the overseas work of the Brooke, is thrilled to announce an exciting line-up of events in Wellington, Florida, this season to help raise awareness and funds for working equines in need around the world! Brooke USA’s mission is to significantly improve the lives of working equines and the people they serve throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America by raising funds and responsibly directing them to the areas of greatest need. Help Brooke USA continue to provide life-saving programs by supporting their events in 2018!
Starting Feb. 22, Brooke USA will be kicking off its new ” Paint Wellington Orange ” initiative, which will include multiple events to bring together and encourage the Wellington community to get involved in the mission of Brooke USA with the help and support of local Wellington businesses. The color orange symbolizes Brooke USA’s vision of a world in which working horses, donkeys, and mules are free from suffering. Restaurants and businesses around the Wellington community will be offering special discounts and donating a portion of their sales to support the vital programs of Brooke USA. You can support Brooke USA’s initiative by shopping, eating or visiting any of their many “Paint Wellington Orange” partners across Wellington!
In addition to “Paint Wellington Orange,” Brooke USA’s highly-anticipated event of the season, Nic Roldan’s Sunset Polo & White Party, will close out their winter fundraising calendar with a bang! The third annual event, hosted by Mark and Katherine Bellissimo at the Wanderers Club on Friday, March 23, will feature a sunset polo game, live and silent auctions, an Argentine asado, mini ponies and much more!
In previous years, the event has welcomed more than 1,000 attendees and raised approximately $500,000 to help alleviate the suffering of working equines, and the people who rely on them, in the world’s most disparaged countries.

Lunch & Learn: Feb. 22
Join Brooke’s head of communications Rachel Bhageerutty for lunch and a compelling presentation entitled “Global Impact Through Local Kindness: Ensuring Vital Futures for Equines and Their Human Partners” in The Wellington Club at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Taking place from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. on Feb. 22, the exciting event is part of the popular Lunch & Learn weekly series, which offers educational lectures to riders, owners, trainers and horse enthusiasts on a variety of equine-related topics. Kick-off “Paint Wellington Orange” with a look into the work Brooke is doing globally, and enter the Brooke USA raffle for your chance to win a door prize and raise funds for working equines globally!
