Bluman Equestrian Celebrates Successful End to Winter Equestrian Season in Wellington

Wellington, Fla. – Mar. 19, 2020 – Following ten back-to-back weeks of competition in Wellington, Florida, Bluman Equestrian can look back on a standout season full of top results at both the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and Palm Beach Masters Series (PBM). All five members of the Bluman team – Daniel, Steven, Ilan, Mark and Joseph – successfully competed in upper-level classes in Florida, plus saw their talented clients achieve personal goals in and out of the show ring.

Ilan Bluman

“On behalf of our whole team, we are so proud of everyone’s performance and progress this year in Wellington, including our team members, valued clients and, especially, the horses. Everyone’s consistent and unwavering work ethic allowed us to keep our horses healthy, happy and performing at the top of their game in the show ring,” commented Ilan. “While earning first place is always exciting, we are equally as happy to see riders perform well in new divisions or accomplish a goal they set at the beginning of the year. While the five Bluman men share the namesake for the business, we consider everyone on the team to be vital members and we all share in each other’s achievements.”

Over the course of WEF, the Blumans and their clients experienced success in jumper classes ranging from the Young Jumpers and the Adult Amateur Jumpers all the way up to CSI5* grand prix classes. Highlights of the circuit included Daniel’s second-place finish in the $401,000 Douglas Elliman Grand Prix CSI5* aboard Ladriano Z behind Israeli teammate Ashlee Bond, as well as the consistent results in the 7-Year-Old Young Jumpers earned by Mark and Lenzo 5, who were awarded division championship honors during Week Six and the reserve champion title during Week Ten. Ilan turned in strong results in the WEF Nations Cup and was a contender in CSI5* classes throughout the season, in addition to consistently piloting horses in training to top-three finishes for clients. In one class, he topped 115 entries riding Vicomte De La Cour.

Daniel Bluman

At Deeridge Farms, the host of the PBM, Daniel rode to second place on Biblou du Perron in the $15,000 Bruins Tour Classic and later earned the red ribbon with Colestina H in the $10,000 Palm Beach Masters Warm Up CSI5* out of 48 contenders. In the $230,000 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of the United States of America CSIO5* in February, Daniel and Ladriano Z led the squad from Israel as the best performers with only one rail down in two rounds of intense competition.

“Although the season was unfortunately cut short, we accomplished a great deal in ten weeks and are looking forward to continuing that momentum throughout the year, wherever that may be. We will be taking this opportunity to focus on fitness and training so that our horses can take a well-deserved break from competition until we gear up for the next show,” noted Steven. “Like many equestrians, our schedule is a bit up in the air, but we will use this time to refresh everyone physically and mentally, and we are confident that we will be on the other side of this more prepared than ever thanks to our dedication to horsemanship and proper training practices.”
