Beverly Equestrian Center Welcomes George Morris to Virginia

The Plains, VA – Sept. 9, 2016 – Legendary horseman and coach, George Morris, looks forward to bringing his extensive knowledge of good horsemanship to riders and auditors in Virginia next week. The renowned equestrian will host a three-day clinic at the Beverly Equestrian Center, September 13-15. The National Sporting Library will also host Morris for a book signing on September 14 of his autobiography UNRELENTING -The Real Story: Horses, Bright Lights, and My Pursuit of Excellence.

After retiring as Chef d’Equipe of the United States Show Jumping Team, Morris set his sights on developing the future of the sport by conducting clinics around the world. Focusing on helping riders develop correct form and function, Morris has often been referred to as the founding father of hunt seat equitation. Second to none, his teachings, technique and style are revered around the world. Over the course of his career, Morris has been highly successful as a rider, coach, clinician, author and judge.

“We are always thrilled to have George join us at the Beverly Equestrian Center,” noted Darrin Mollett. “The clinic brings together all of the best people in our area and beyond from multiple disciplines. It’s always really interesting to see how he teaches the different riders and horses. His method is the same and it works for all disciplines. All the riders and horses continue to improve throughout the clinic, which is fun to watch.”

While spots to participate as a rider in the clinic began filling up immediately for the opportunity to gain knowledge from the esteemed rider, a waiting list has been made available. The daily clinic schedule will begin with the first group of advanced riders will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by intermediate riders at 11:30 a.m. The final group of beginner riders will commence at 2:00 p.m.

The well-known rider and instructor will be available for book signings on Wednesday, September 14 from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the National Sporting Library in Middleburg, Virginia.
