2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival Launches Innovative Stabling+ Package

Traverse City, Mich. – July 11, 2019 – The 2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, is proud to offer its competitors the new Stabling+ Package, a cost-effective way to ensure that exhibitors are compensated for lost show expenses. Should an entry have to scratch for qualified health reasons, reimbursement is possible for those expenditures. There’s no better way to protect your checkbook against sudden and unfortunate circumstances.
“We are so pleased to roll out this new initiative during the 2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival to help prevent our exhibitors from any unnecessary expenses,” commented GLEF show organizer Matt Morrissey of Morrissey Management Group. “All equestrians know how unpredictable horses can be, and this new program is designed to help support our loyal competitors.”
For $75 per horse per week, as part of its Stabling+ Package, GLEF will reimburse exhibitors should a horse be forced to scratch after it has already arrived on-site, or should the Festival be cancelled due to some catastrophic event. The plan provides supplementary reimbursement to show participants in the event of a sudden equine death, qualifying major equine medical event such as colic, bowed tendons, contagious disease, broken bones or heart attack, or show cancellation due to a massive weather event or disease outbreak.
GLEF is excited to be one of the first horse shows in the United States to offer this level of protection for its participants, adding yet another way that the Traverse City show is committed to making improvements in order to enhance the experience of competitors.
