Zionsville, IN – July 12, 2012 – The Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show (TPHCHS) brings the best of the hunter and jumper disciplines together for their weeklong show. Set in the country on a 250-acre facility, TPHCHS will offer the top classes for riders of all experience levels from August 7–12, 2012. The hunter highlights are an opportunity for riders from across the nation to showcase their talented mounts at a show where they can relax and enjoy the surroundings while competing against the best in the business. Their hunter highlights will feature some of the top riders from across the nation, as they vie for the esteemed championship honors.

As a member of the USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Program, TPHCHS offers top hunter classes that will help riders earn points toward year-end awards. The main hunter highlight of TPHCHS is the long-awaited $15,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. The event will count as a qualifying event for the $100,000 2013 USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals.

There will also be an array of classes for Junior riders, including equitation classes and hunter classics. Junior riders will have the opportunity to prepare for the $1,000 Junior Hunter Classic with numerous classes available for both Large and Small Junior Hunters. The Junior classes will run from Aug. 9-10, 2012.

The ASPCA Maclay Horsemanship class, also known as the “proving ground of champions,” is sure to see talented riders go neck-and-neck for the first place awards and qualifying points for the upcoming Regional Finals. Riders will also have the opportunity to compete in the Pessoa USEF Hunter Seat Medal, having the opportunity to earn points in the last couple of weeks leading up to the end of the qualifying period. The final equitation class available for the horse and rider combinations is the IHJA Junior Medal in which riders will compete against the best completing a first round course over fences, as well as preparing to enter the ring for a test to be decided by the judges.

Adult Amateur competitors will be able to showcase their skills in the IHJA Adult Medal, as well as the USEF Adult Medal. They will also strive to ride to the top in the Ariat National Adult Medal. All of the classes will help the riders prepare for the $1,000 NAL/WIHS Adult Amateur Classic, which will be held on Friday, Aug. 10.

The children and pony divisions will also offer great hunter and equitation opportunities. The Children’s Hunter divisions will include highlight classes such as the IHJA Children’s Medal, as well as the $1,000 NAL/WIHS Children’s Hunter Classic. The pony riders will have the opportunity to impress the judges during the IHJA Pony Medal and the Equisport US Pony Medal. These points will help the riders qualify for the 2013 US Pony Finals held in Lexington, KY.
