Saturday Night at Alltech National Horse Show to Benefit USET Foundation

Lexington, KY – June 26, 2012 – The 2012 Alltech National Horse Show announced today that for the second year in a row, the Saturday evening performance will once again benefit the United States Equestrian Team Foundation.
Following a successful debut last year, the second edition of the Alltech National Horse Show in Lexington, Kentucky, is scheduled for October 30 through November 4, 2012. The show will once again be held at the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
During the Saturday evening performance, featuring the show’s main event, the $250,000 Alltech Grand Prix, the horse show will share 50% of the night’s gate receipts with the USET Foundation.
The United States Equestrian Team Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America’s elite and developing international high performance horses and athletes in partnership with the United States Equestrian Federation. Its main tasks are to support athletes, promote international excellence and build for the future.
"The USET Foundation is thankful to the Alltech National Horse Show for choosing us as the charity for Grand Prix evening again this year,” said Bonnie Jenkins, Executive Director of the USET Foundation. “The National Horse Show and the USET Foundation have always had a common goal of achieving excellence and we look forward to continuing that goal and to build on the rich tradition and history we share."
“Over the years, the National Horse Show has been a huge supporter of the activities of the United States Equestrian Team Foundation,” said Mason Phelps, Jr., President of the National Horse Show Association. “The Alltech National Horse Show, last year, was delighted to make a major commitment to the USET Foundation, especially with the Olympic Games in London on the horizon. We are proud to reaffirm that commitment again this year and all of us at the Alltech National Horse Show wish our London bound athletes tremendous success.”
“The USET Foundation couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative to the Alltech National Horse Show for once again including us for the Saturday night event,” said USET Foundation Development Committee Co-Chairman Bruce Duchossois (above right). “The show was a fabulous success last year and we at the USET Foundation are honored to be a part of this great tradition again this year.”
“The USET Foundation is very pleased and honored that in its’ second year the Alltech National Horse Show has chosen again to support our efforts” echoed Robin Parsky (left) Co-Chairman of the USET Foundation Development Committee. “We are hoping to have many of our 2012 Olympic team members in attendance so that the Alltech Arena audience will have the opportunity to interact with these exceptional riders. We thank Alltech and the National Horse Show Board of Directors for their generosity. We could not field great US equestrian teams without this kind of support and visibility. We wish the ANHS continued success,” she concluded.
The USET Foundation also expressed its gratitude to Brody Robertson for the creation on the new and colorful USET Foundation jump that will be used during this year’s Alltech National Horse Show.
"With this being an Olympic year, we wanted to make a set of jumps that represented some of the different countries going to the Games,” Robertson stated. “When it came to doing a jump for the United States, Bonnie Jenkins and others on the Board trusted us to create the USET Foundation jump. We’re thrilled it will be in play at the Alltech National Show and at such a great fundraiser for the USET. "
The 2012 Alltech National Horse Show takes center stage on October 30 through November 4, 2012 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to the top rated hunters and the ASPCA Maclay National Championship, the show features world-class international, open, junior and amateur-owner jumpers competing for the biggest prize money on the United States indoor tour.

What:
The Alltech National Horse Show is a weeklong championship event featuring “AA”-rated hunters, open jumpers, junior/amateur jumpers, and the ASPCA Alfred B. Maclay Finals. The event will run October 30 through November 4, 2012, indoors in the Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, site of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™.
Parking:
The Kentucky Horse Park has waived the normal parking fee during the Alltech National Horse Show. Parking is free. While dogs are permitted at the Kentucky Horse Park on a leash, no dogs are allowed in the Alltech Arena during the ANHS

The Kentucky Horse Park is located at 4089 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, KY 40511. The KHP is 8 miles northeast of Lexington at Exit 120 on Interstate 75.
