Nordic Lights Farm Leads Southwest Classic
Written by: Rebecca Walton Client:Nordic Lights Farm Release Date:2012-05-31
Tomball, TX – May 31, 2012 – Eirin and Lene Bruheim of Nordic Lights Farm earned top honors with their talented mounts during the Southwest Classic in Tyler, TX. Eirin represented her family in the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers with her new mount Tackeray, while Lene competed in the High Children’s Jumpers with NLF Valhall and Jessika.
Eirin and Tackery are still getting to know each other, but they are proving that they have a successful partnership each time they enter the ring. The pair placed first and second in the High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers with their quick and clear efforts. Eirin also competed in the Medium Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumpers with her second mount, NLF Trans Atlantic, who earned good ribbons as well.
“The Southwest Classic was a fantastic show,” commented Eirin. “Tackeray only jumped clear rounds and went super fast each time. We are getting to know each other very well and I am really excited about him. NLF Trans Atlantic finally moved up to the 1.30m Medium Jumpers and he was fantastic as well; he's coming along really nicely.”
Eirin’s sister Lene also competed for Nordic Lights Farm during the Southwest Classic. She scored good ribbons with both NLF Valhall and Jessika in the High Children’s Jumpers. “I haven't ridden in a couple of weeks, so it was wonderful to get back into the saddle,” she said. “Both of my horses were as amazing as they could possibly be and I am really lucky to have them.”
The horses and riders of Nordic Lights Farm will continue to compete at the best competitions in the country throughout the summer, including the Devon Horse Show, Country Heir, Horse Shows By the Bay, and the Kentucky Summer Series.
Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 19-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 17-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
