Wellington, FL – May 2, 2012 – Mason Phelps Radio’s fifteenth segment will be held tonight at 5:00 p.m. EST on W4CY.com. Although it was announced last week that the radio show was having its last segment of the season, Phelps Media Group Account Executive Kendall Bierer will co-host the show alongside W4CY.com’s Dean Piper. This week will feature dressage aficionado Sue Weakley and fellow Account Executive, Carrie Wirth. The show will focus on the exciting steps Phelps Media Group is making into the discipline of dressage, as well as what social media is doing not only for the equestrian industry, but society in general. The group will also discuss the latest in web-based and electronic marketing.
Sue Weakley is active in equine media and marketing, having served as editor of Andalusian magazine, assistant editor of Horse & Rider, contributing writer to Dressage Today, and as a member of the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) Marketing Committee. She is an avowed dressage queen, as well as an Iberian horse fanatic. She has served on two Iberian breed horse association board of directors and owns three horses. Weakley has an undergraduate degree and a master's degree in print journalism. She has taught classes in social media, journalism, and integrated marketing communications at the University of Mississippi.
“I am so excited to join Kendall and Dean on W4CY.com to talk about my dressage knowledge and ideas for the future of PMG as the company expands into the discipline,” Weakley stated. “I also am thrilled to be able to share new ideas surrounding social media and how it can really affect the equestrian industry when used correctly. This is a great opportunity to reach out to the equestrian community and between our three personalities, I know it will be an entertaining show.”
Carrie Wirth has over twenty years of experience in public relations, advertising, marketing communications, entertainment and events. She works as an account executive at Phelps Media Group using her knowledge of dressage, polo and show hunters to raise the bar. Most recently, Wirth ran her own firm, Show Business Marketing, a Minneapolis enthusiast-based marketing and promotional events company targeting the equestrian audience. Her clients included Ariat, Equine Network, Midwest Horse Fair, Troxel and Arc de Triomphe.
“This is going to be a fun and lively conversation,” Wirth said. “Kendall is a fearless communicator and Sue is such great company. I expect to hear some valuable information mixed with levity. I am really looking forward to it!”
