Wellington, FL - April 5, 2012 - Great Southwest Equestrian Center, located in Katy Texas, is one of the premier equestrian facilities in the Southwest. Recently under new ownership, it is launching new strategic initiatives that include expansion and improvements to the facility with a vision to be one of the premier equestrian facilities in the nation. Great Southwest Equestrian Center is about to undergo construction to add a third indoor arena and additional capacity to allow for an expanded schedule and larger events.
Year-round, Great Southwest Equestrian Center is home to a wide range of local and international horse shows and events including, the National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC), the second largest reining show in the world, which they have successfully hosted for the past ten years. The NRBC, which runs from April 16-22, 2012, has signed a letter of intent to bring the show to Great Southwest Equestrian Center for an additional seven years.
"We love it there because of the ambience and atmosphere. The staff at Great Southwest is incredible to work with. They do everything to accommodate our needs. Every crazy idea we had- they made it happen. The NRBC comes to Great Southwest because of the management and staff," shared top Hunter/Jumper trainer, Colleen McQuay. McQuay is married to reining legend, Tim McQay. Both serve on the board of the NRBC.
Great Southwest Equestrian Center also hosts the The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, one of the country's most prestigious equestrian events as well as Arabian, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper, Reining and American Quarter Horse Association Shows.
