TEAM USA Pre-Nations Cup Pep Rally Reception

Wellington, FL – March 1, 2012 – Nations Cup Night is just around the corner, and the United States is calling on all fans to show their support. On Friday, March 2, the United States Equestrian Team Foundation and the United States Equestrian Federation will be hosting a TEAM USA Pre-Nations Cup Pep Rally Reception. The event will be held just prior to the Nations Cup, running from 6-7pm in the “USA” section of the Special Events Pavilion at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

“Nations Cup night is the perfect occasion for all those that love show jumping,” expressed USET Foundation Executive Director Bonnie Jenkins. “We have a great team of Beezie Madden, Mario Deslauriers, Lauren Hough and Margie Engle led by U.S. Show Jumping Chef d’ Equipe, George H. Morris. The USET Foundation is proud to be part of this special night and hope that everyone will come out and cheer the ‘team’ on to victory.”

During the Pep Rally Reception, guests will enjoy cocktails and an All American Picnic Dinner. Over the weekend, over 60 junior and pony riders created posters for the “Team USA Poster Contest at the Winter Equestrian Festival Family Center. There were three poster contest divisions: 1.) Team USA Spirit, 2.) Current Team Horse and 3.) Team Horses from the Past. On Friday night, three guest judges from past Olympic Teams will name winners from each division, who will receive a baseball cap autographed by the 2012 Nations Cup Team and Chef d’Equipe George Morris.

Tickets for the USA Cheering Section will also be available on the night of the Nations Cup on a first come, first serve basis starting at 6pm in the USA section of the Special Events Pavilion.
