Wellington, FL – February 24, 2012 – The bond between horse and human is one that could rival the most riveting stories of love and loyalty, but with the help of Phelps Media Group, Inc. the story is going to be rewritten through the actions and awareness embraced by the Seraphim12 Foundation. PMG’s most recent client represents the very essence of why PMG is even able to exist. Wednesday night, Seraphim12 took a step toward shifting the status quo, donating participant gift bags for Dressage Under the Stars and raising awareness among the spectators in an effort to build back the bridge that connects horse and human.
From the beginning, the horse has unconditionally offered its service to man, but somewhere down the path humanity has forgotten the gifts these gentle giants have provided. In a world where horses are mostly seen for financial value and usefulness, people have forgotten the power and sensitivity horses provide, acting as a mirror to reflect back to us, who we are and who we can be. The Seraphim12 Foundation unites all people to stand together in the New World Vision Project to redefine the relationship between horse and man.
Together, Manda Kalimian and Pamela Polk have worked together to create Seraphim12 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) Not-For-Profit dedicated to creating a sympathetic balance between horse and humans through compassion, education and legislation. Through skillfully designed curriculums focusing on education and awareness, Seraphim12 Foundation will create a shift in the perception revolving around the care and classification of the horse. It is fundamental for Seraphim12 that all horses have a dignified life, retirement and a final resting place and that all people have a greater understanding of what is happening in today’s world to our horses.
“Dressage Under the Stars was really fun to be a part of,” Kalimian expressed. “There was a great reaction to our cause, and the event acted as an opportunity for us to get our feet wet. Getting out there is all part of the education process, and Dressage Under the Stars was the perfect venue to get started.”
The programs currently in development are designed to create a symbiotic balance between horse and human. The social acceptance presently of the horse is as nothing more than a commodity. When a horse can no longer do a job or serve a purpose for its owner or financial investor, the horse is either destroyed or placed in a financially beneficial situation solely serving that of the owner. Often times, these situations result in undignified retirement, or worse, the slaughterhouse. The Seraphim12 Foundation Program conceptualizes the horse, humans and environment acting as one. This can be attained through veterinary programs, rescues and sanctuaries, humane education in primary, secondary and high-level education schools and through billboard campaigns. But all of this is only a beginning.
The information Seraphim12 provided at Dressage Under the Stars helped for people to begin to understand the link that is so crucial to the spiritual bonding of horse and human. Within each gift bag, Seraphim12 donated a signature necklace made of imported Japanese silk cords with gold fixing, delicately holding the bronze heart and single seraphinite stone—the quintessence of the symbolism behind the Foundation. Also included within the bag was a Seraphim12 cap, tee shirt, rubber bracelet and an educational brochure.
