Wellington, FL – February 13, 2012 – Mason Phelps Radio’s sixth segment will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. EST on W4CY.com. Media Personality Steve Williams will be co-hosting along side Phelps once again, and this week will feature James Lala and Jennifer Burger as guests. Phelps and Williams along with their guests look forward to discussing horseshow management and development, as well as the 2012 Brandywine Valley Summer Series.
One of the guests this week will be James Lala, who is joining Phelps and Williams on the show to discuss his idea for a horse show modeled after the New England Finals. The goal is to have this big show that is easy to qualify for and that lots of people of every level can attend and compete against some of the best riders in the country with a great venue and do it safely.
“I’m looking forward spreading the word about this,” said Lala. “This would be a show where people can compete at a big venue with really good judges and courses without having to go to every single horse show.”
Lala added, “We would love to get feedback from people on what they think would be nice to have at the show. I know we won’t please everyone, but I think they will take to it.”
Jennifer Burger, who helped found the Brandywine Valley Summer Series, will also be joining Mason Phelps Radio this week. “I am so thrilled to be discussing all of the new events that will be taking place at Brandywine in 2012,” noted Burger. “This year we will be including a new $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, and we will also be a WCHR Member Event. Our first show was such a hit and everyone is looking forward to returning to the beautiful Devon Show Grounds for two weeks of great competition.”
The Brandywine Valley Summer Series is an exciting ‘AA’ hunter/jumper/equitation horse show presented by THIS benefitting the Chester County Food Bank and Abby Miller Foundation. Scheduled for June 28-July 2, 2012 and July 4-July 8, 2012, the country’s top horse and rider combinations will gather to compete for the winning honors. In 2011, the Pennsylvania Horse Show Association named the event “Horse Show of the Year”.
