Wellington, FL- December 10, 2011- Bob and Tina Hinckley, Dee and Tom Cushing, Victor Connor Roger and Melanie Lawson and Germaine Harmon hosted a reception at International Polo Club Palm Beach for Rhode Island Republican Candidate for US Senate, Barry Hinckley. Hinckley is running unopposed by his party and hopes to oust the incumbent, Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse.
Wellington's Victor Connor of Connor Investments introduced Hinckley to the group, "We need to take control of the Senate. We need someone in the Senate who shares our values and knows how to create economic success. I believe Barry Hinckley is one of those individuals."
Hinckley's family owned Hinckley Yachts, famous for luxury sailing yachts and jet-powered picnic boats from 1928 through 1997. Though he spent some time in the family business, he forged off on his own. He founded the successful, Bullhorn Software which, for five consecutive years, has been named one of the "10 Fastest Growing Private Companies" by the Boston Business Journal. Bullhorn employs 150 people and, according to Hinckley, will earn over $36 million in revenue this year.
Hinckley spoke to the audience for thirty minutes. "We all have to agree we're in a mess. The left thinks that more government will solve the mess we're in. I think more private sector jobs are the answer. I want to recruit you to join my army to re-take America next November. "
Hinckley urged attendees to contribute to his campaign because, "Although you can't vote for me, I can vote for you."
