Palm City, FL –February 14, 2011 - Phelps Media Group Inc., (PMG), a leading public relations firm in the equestrian industry, is pleased to welcome Sons of the Wind School of Equestrian Arts to its expanding list of clients. Founded by Vitor Silva of Portugal, Sons of the Wind is a full service training and breeding operation for the remarkable Lusitano breed. The school was created in response to the need for an establishment capable of providing the rider the opportunity to experience and understand the correctness of all the movements of dressage.
In 2011, Sons of the Wind opened a new facility in Palm City, Florida where clients are currently studying with Silva. The new location is also home to a number of impeccable Lusitano imports, which are currently in full training after arriving from Sons of the Wind’s private boarding facility in Brazil. With each of his young mounts, Silva will be focusing on careful training programs so that they can meet their full potential. It is very important for the growth of the school to keep training horses that could be great mounts and prospects for lessons and for sale.
The new facility in Palm City features three large barns, each with boarding, foaling, and stallion stalls that are large and spacious. The property is located on 55 acres with ample turnout in three large fields for the horses, plus individualized turnout next to the barns. The multiple dressage rings feature top of the line footing for the horses, and there are also multiple wash stalls and multiple grooming areas for their special care. Visitors can enjoy accommodations in the four-bedroom house with picturesque views of the farm.
Sons of the Wind is very pleased to have opened this new facility and will be hosting an open house during the month of March to showcase their talented string of horses and beautiful location.
“In response to the great demand from our students to offer a southern-based school, we chose Palm City, Florida, as it offers a wonderful community and very pleasant weather for working conditions,” commented Silva. “It also creates a new venue and wonderful opportunity for our clients to enjoy to the plentiful activity within the equestrian culture in Florida. The facility itself is magnificent and has been carefully planned and built with great attention to every health and convenience detail. We are all very excited to be here and enjoy our horses at this beautiful location in a state-of-the-art facility.”
