Tyler, TX –November 9, 2010 –Eighteen-year-old Eirin Bruheim of Nordic Lights Farm traveled to the Dallas Harvest Horse Show this past weekend to compete with her top mounts Cicero 75, Qarco V’T Merelsnest, and NLF Trans Atlantic. Bruheim competed in three Open Jumper classes where she was awarded top prizes for her excellent efforts.

Bruheim started the show off right by earning top accolades in the $3,000 Welcome Stake. She scored the second place prize with Qarco V’T Merelsnest and the fifth place honors with NLF Trans Atlantic. Later in the week, Bruheim went on to win the 1.25m Open Jumper class aboard Cicero 75 and was eventually awarded the 1.25m Open Jumper championship prize.

The final class of the weekend for Bruheim was the $25,000 Harvest Grand Prix where she rode NLF Trans Atlantic. After earning just four-faults over the difficult track the talented duo took home the sixth place honors.

“This was a great week to get adjusted to riding outdoors again after a successful trip to the East Coast to compete during the Indoors Circuit,” noted Bruheim. “I think my horses will be great next week at Great Southwest Autumn Classic.”

Professional rider Peter Pletcher also represented Nordic Lights Farm at the Dallas Harvest Horse Show, riding NLF Shakespeare’s Rhythm in the $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. After placing sixth during the first round, Pletcher laid down an incredible handy trip to win the second round. The pair was eventually presented with the second place prize overall.

Next week, Bruheim will compete at the Great Southwest Autumn Classic with her sister, junior rider Lene Bruheim.

Nordic Lights Farm is a 70-acre establishment located in Tomball, TX, that was founded in 2007 by the Bruheim family to help further the equestrian goals of 18-year-old Eirin Bruheim and 16-year-old Lene Bruheim. Both girls have worked their way up through the ranks and are currently competing at the top levels in the hunter and jumper divisions aboard their incredible string of horses.
