Written by: Phelps Media Group, Inc.
Client: PhelpsSports.com http://phelpssports.com/
Release Date: 2010-08-27

Wellington, Florida – August 28, 2010 - - The late summer and early fall tour on PhelpsSports.com, the nation's most popular and dynamic equestrian news website, features a wide-ranging list of events, highlighted by complete coverage of the highly anticipated, inaugural Pfizer Million, offering the world’s richest show jumping purse, at HITS Saugerties on September 12th.

The PhelpsSports.com team will be on scene for the entire week in Saugerties to bring you a behind the scenes look as this spectacular and important new American show jumping event unfolds, beginning with the $50,000 FEI World Cup Qualifier/Pfizer Million Wild Card Grand Prix and ending with a report from the live concert by the legendary rock star John Fogerty.

Before that though, there’s a busy weekend and week ahead for PhelpsSports.com.

PS.com will be on hand to bring you all of the action from the $25,000 International Hunter Derby (Chicago Hunter Derby) Presented by CN this Sunday, August 29th. This derby takes place at Carl and Rush Weeden's Annali Farm in Antioch, Illinois, and is part of the International Hunter Derby Series. The derby, a stand-alone event, will feature many of the top hunter riders in the United States.

Also, coming up this week, the PS.com team will head out to Long Island to bring you all of the news and photos from the world renowned Hampton Classic Horse Show. Look for complete reports and great pictures from all of the exciting action from Bridgehampton, New York.

On September 9-12, PhelpSports.com will travel back to Traverse City, Michigan for the Dressage by the Bay Fall Classic and The Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 2 Dressage Championships. The following week, reports will come from Buffalo, New York, as the Buffalo International Horse Show gets underway September 15-19 with its 64th annual competition at the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center.

At the same time, PhelpsSports.com reporters will be at the Showplace Fall Classic Championship Horse Show at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois, on September 14-19, 2010. The show features "A" rated hunter divisions, four star jumper divisions, and the finals of the $60,000 Showplace Leading Rider Series, IHJA "A" Equitation Medals, and Marshall & Sterling Midwestern League.

Also, that same week, look for complete PhelpsSports.com coverage of the legendary American Gold Cup as it returns to the famed Metroparks Polo Field in historic Moreland Hills, Ohio, the birthplace of show jumping in America.

On the same day as the American Gold Cup in Ohio, we’ll have reporters on the scene for the inaugural $25,000 Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby. The foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in Carson City, Nevada, should provide a spectacular backdrop for this brand new hunter event out west. This derby is the first stand-alone hunter derby ever held on the west coast.

California reporting includes in-depth coverage from the series of events offered by Blenheim EquiSports.

And as you might expect from the nation’s most comprehensive news website, we will have in-depth coverage of the Masters at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada.

The fall tour as always, starts with the Capital Challenge, and includes Washington, the Syracuse Sporthorse Tournament and National Horse Show, Harrisburg, and winds up at the Royal in Toronto.

When the world comes to America this fall, PhelpsSports.com will have a full team of reporters and photographers on the grounds at the Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, for the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games.

All of this is in addition to the wonderful line-up of thought provoking columnists, including the highly popular writer Bjorn Van Bunder who will continue to provide his unique outlook, reporting from the heart of the horse world in Europe. Buffy and Nell bring you the latest and greatest horse show gossip, plus the works of Fred Glueckstein, C.J. Cohick, Cooky McClung, Krysia Nelson and many more, including The Buzz, make PhelpsSports.com the most talked about and fastest growing web site in the equestrian world.
