Blainville, Quebec – June 11, 2010 –The Classique Internationale De Blainville (Jumping Blainville) is pleased to announce that the Government of Quebec will be generously sponsoring this year’s $40,000 Grand Prix Jumping du Quebec. The exciting grand prix event will be held during the first week of competition on Sunday, July 11, 2010, and will feature the top jumper riders.
The first week of Jumping Blainville will get underway July 7-11, 2010, and the second week will continue July 14 - 18, 2010. During the second week of competition, Desjardins Bank will sponsor the $15,000 Speed Derby, schedule for Saturday, July 17, 2010.
Later during Jumping Blainville’s second week, the Government of Quebec will offer its support to the $60,000 World Cup Qualifier. On Sunday July 18, 2010 riders will be coming from 10 different nations to compete during the $60,000 World Cup Qualifier, vying for the winning title and points to show at the 2011 FEI World Cup Finals in Leipzig, Germany. The winner will be invited to pose beside the winning car at the Concours d'Élégance Le Mirage.
Government of Quebec Quebec has offered generous prizes to all of the riders that will be competing at this year’s event. Blainville is located in one of 22 tourist regions in Quebec, and offers a unique geographical, historical and cultural perspective. The beautiful city is just 20 minutes from Montreal and 10 minutes from the picturesque mountains and lakes of beautiful Quebec. The setting offers participants a possibility to live the equestrian experience in a city surrounded by many exciting and unique activities.
The City of Blainville offers a great deal of support to Jumping Blainville, and hopes to make the equestrian park a top horse show facility with innovative venues in the near future. In addition to the $40,000 Grand Prix Jumping du Quebec, the equestrian park will be hosting a demonstration of stag hunting on July 11. More than 20 horsemen and their pack of dogs will parade before the crowd and then release a fake fox for the horses and dogs to chase.
Horse lovers, family, sponsors and federations around the world are invited to come and view the exciting equestrian competition during the two weeks of Jumping Blainville at the equestrian park.
Fifty local businesses have donated more than $10,000 in prizes to be given away to the public during the two weeks of the equestrian and Concours d’Élégance events. The Concours d'Élégance Le Mirage is a unique charity vocation in Canada. This event is organized to raise money for the André-Delambre Foundation, which supports the University Research on SLA (the Lou Gehrig disease). The program includes a fundraising event in the evening on July 16 at the Golf Le Mirage, in Terrebonne. On Saturday July 17, there will be a club day of antique cars at the Equestrian Park, and finally on Sunday July 18, the Concours D'Élégance Le Mirage will announce the car of the year and will conclude with the Beauty and the Beast at the Equestrian Park.

Jumping Blainville is a leading hunter/jumper competition held at the renowned Equestrian Park of Blainville, featuring $300,000 in total prizes. The first week of competition will be held July 7-11, 2010 and the second week will get underway July 14 and run through July 18, 2010.

At 1025 chemin du Plan Bouchard, Blainville, the Equestrian park of Blainville is open to children 12 and under for free. The fee for adults is $8.
On Sunday July 18th, le concours d'Élégance Le Mirage, for the foundation of Andre Delambre, president Rene Angelil, under the theme of Beauty and the Beast, will be hosting a concours with 120 selected antic collection cars where one of them will be named the car of the year. Entry fee $15 for both car and horse event.
The Grand Prix ring features and all weather footing of 350'x 400'. The annex sand ring measures 230' x 150', while the two hunter sand rings are 165' x 275' and 140' x 275'. Both hunter rings are equipped with sophisticated sprinkler systems that assures uniform ground moisture conditions and become on Sundays, one ring for the Hunter Classic class.
A blacksmith's pavilion, boutiques, restaurant and restrooms are less than 500 feet from the main stabling.
