Release Date: 2010-04-21

Chester Springs, PA –April 21, 2010 – Callan Solem Show Stables is pleased to announce that it is currently preparing for the 2010 Spring Horse Show Season. At the beginning of April, international grand prix rider Callan Solem opened the new hunter/jumper/equitation operation with the support of Virginia and Collin McNeil in Chester Springs, PA. After successfully relocating to the 90-acre Upland Farm, Solem has begun focusing on her training operation and will be traveling to numerous ‘AA’-rated horse shows this spring with her talented string of horses.

Solem’s spring circuit will begin this week with the Commonwealth National Horse Show at HITS Culpeper. The event will be held in Culpeper, Virginia from April 21-25, 2010. Earlier this year Solem was very successful during the 2010 HITS Ocala Circuit, where she earned the Leading Grand Prix Rider Award and her top mount Allison won the Leading Mare Award.

This spring Solem hopes to continue her winning ways. Following her competition at HITS Culpeper she will travel to the Garden State Horse Show in Augusta, NJ, held May 5-9, 2010. After spending a week in New Jersey Solem will return closer to her new home for the St. Christopher Horse Show and the Blue Rock Horse Show in Quentin, PA, with the dates of May 12-16 and May 19-23, 2010.

Beginning at the end of May, Solem will show at some of the top horse shows in the country, including the historic Devon Horse Show in Devon, PA, held May 27- June 6, 2010. After competing at the Devon Horse Show, Solem will immediately travel to Upperville, VA, for the Upperville Colt and Horse Show, scheduled for June 6-13, 2010.

“I am so excited about everything with this new venture, especially the new show schedule,” commented Solem. “I have never been to Upperville before and Devon is a very special show, especially for the McNeils. We are all looking forward to the shows this spring. Our horses had a nice little break after Ocala, and they feel fresh and ready to go.”

Solem has been successful around the country, winning numerous grand prix classes at HITS Saugerties, HITS Ocala, the Fairfield Hunt Club, and Old Salem Farm. She has been on the Nations Cup Team in Rio de Janeiro, Rotterdam, Lummen and Falsterbo, and was a member of the winning Super League Team in 2005. Her most recent accomplishments include earning the Leading International Rider title at the 2008 Syracuse Sport Horse Invitational/National Horse Show.
