HITS Post Time Farm in Ocala Offers Special Layover Stabling Pricing Packages

Ocala, FL - July 16, 2009 - HITS, Inc., a special events company that produces some of the largest hunter/jumper horse shows across the country, is pleased to announce their special pricing packages available for layover stabling. The rental and lease packages are available for a limited number of customers at the HITS Post Time Farm, located in Ocala, Florida.
The HITS Post Time Farm is available for Off-Season Rentals from April through October. The property features more than 300 acres of beautiful, tree-lined drives and has gated entrances. There are permanent barns, multiple riding rings with the best footing available, and numerous turn-out paddocks.
In addition, private homes are available on or adjacent to the show grounds.
Those who take advantage of the Off-Season Rental availability and show with HITS throughout the summer at their Saugerties and/or Culpeper venues will enjoy a credit towards their Off-Season Rental at HITS Ocala for each time they show at HITS.
Top grand prix rider Aaron Vale takes advantage of Off-Season Rentals throughout the year with HITS. Although Vale does own a farm in Ocala, he has horses stay at the Post Time Farm in the fall and winter. “My business is bigger than what my farm at home can handle, so using their facility is a win-win,” he said. “In the wintertime, I end up with around 50 horses. It lets me have a big enough business and allows me to conveniently rent and use their facility. It works out great and I love it.”
Vale believes that there are advantages to keeping horses at the Post Time Farm before the show season starts. “There’s a lot of room to ride so you’re not just stuck riding in a sand ring. You can get out and use some of the big fields and pastures that they have,” he mentioned. “Another thing that I really like about Ocala is that the soil is sandy, so it’s always soft, no matter if it’s rainy or dry. I think that’s good for a horse’s soundness, and you can train under any conditions. It’s real forgiving for the horses. We take full use of the turnout too, and there’s a lot available.”
When Vale moves up north to follow the show circuit in the spring and summer, he continues his relationship with HITS and their layover stabling in Culpeper, VA, and Saugerties, NY.
“Since I live in Florida and own a farm there, and don’t own a farm up north, it’s been quite convenient to use their show grounds for layovers,” he explained. “We take all of our horses, so we have quite a few with us. They’ve made it real convenient for us to use the stabling on the off weeks of the show.”
